TIP-QC STUDENTS BAG AWARDS IN INT’L CONFERENCE

STUDENTS of the Technological Institute of the Philippines Quezon City win awards in the 14th International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations.

Rachel Avila, Jacob Evangelista, Iraz Liawag, Noel Franz Culaba, and Raymel Jorenz Hamar secured first place for their research “Zeolite as an Alternative Exhaust Filter.”

On the other hand, Daphne Francine Carigma, Michael Josh Hagos, Denise Ramos, Elizabeth Cruzada, and Kenneth Perater won third place.

They were recognized for their study “Korean Trends as A Factor Affecting Academic Performance among Students in Higher Education Institutions.”

For their research on “Post-Pandemic Factors Influencing Continued Usage of E-payment in Higher Education Institution: Integrating Extended Technology Acceptance Model,” Jan Marielle Bidayan, Arjen Guila Cruz, Erika Mae Ople, Abegail Cambay, and Neil Leandro Fajardo also clinched third place (honorable mention).

Lastly, Michael John Valerio, Guiller Laluan, Bryant Anthony Islao, Stephen Shadrach Marcos, and John Michael Dela Cruz received honorable mention for their study “Perceived Impact of Mandatory SIM Card Registration to Cybersecurity and Data Privacy among Engineering Students in Higher Education Institution.”

Dr. Maricar Navarro, along with fellow advisers Engr. Evelyn Eviota and Dr. Romalyn Galingan mentored the students.

The conference was hosted online by Khalifa University in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

It aims to provide a forum for academics, researchers, and practitioners to exchange ideas and recent developments in the field of Industrial Engineering and Operations Management.
