TIP CLINCHES 2ND RUNNER-UP HONORS IN IP CIRCLE LEAGUE FESTIVAL OF STORIES

STUDENTS of Technological Institute of the Philippines Manila clinched second runner-up honors in the recent IP Circle League Festival of Stories organized by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines.

The team was recognized for “their efforts in shedding light on the importance of respecting intellectual property through a self-produced short film” titled ‘Facade’.

The short film tells the story of Rommi, a student involved in illegally distributing movies and selling counterfeit items on the internet.

“The 15-minute short film was shot at the TIP Arlegui campus in Manila with some scenes filmed in Paco,” the school said.

TIP Manila student ambassador Shawn Paolo Chua accepted the award on behalf of his team.

IPOP-IP Academy serves as the national center for IP knowledge, learning and development, research and publication.
