TWO alumni of the Technological Institute of the Philippines were among the recipients of the Filipino Times Watch List: Top Filipino Engineers and Architects in the Middle East 2023.

Ar. EnP. Eldrid Refil and Engr. EnP. Joho Ruiz Utram were recognized by The Filipino Times “based on the size and scope of their positions, their impact on their industries and communities, and their leadership roles.”

“Aside from honoring the achievements and contributions of Filipinos in the Middle East, the recognition also wishes to uplift the image of the Philippines internationally,” the university said.

The Filipino Times honored 91 exceptional Filipinos who made a significant impact on the Middle East’s engineering and architectural scene.

The awardees came from seven professions including 16 architects, 8 chemical engineers, 30 civil engineers, 10 electrical engineers, 8 electronics and communications engineers, 1 geothermal engineer and 18 mechanical engineers.

The nominees for the awards went through a rigorous selection process, with 297 nominations received, and 108 shortlisted based on their demonstrated skill and leadership in their respective fields.
