THE MANILA Times College in Intramuros, Manila, along with The Manila Times, is set to hold its fourth Campus Press Awards, a competition for campus journalists.

The project was launched to recognize the works of student journalists and inspire them to continue developing their interest in journalism.

“We believe that good journalists are assets to the country, and our newspaper and college want to contribute to the development of future writers, photographers, and other professionals in our industry,” it said on Facebook.

The contest has several categories — news story, feature story, sports story, photography, editorial, column, editorial cartoon, layout and design, literary piece, student newspaper, student magazine and news website.

The competition will be for two levels: high school and college. Entries must be submitted on or before December 18.

Entries must have been published in a school newspaper, magazine, website, or similar publication between January 2, 2020 and December 10, 2020. The awarding ceremony is on January 29, 2021.
