TARLAC STUDENT NAMED BEST PANELIST IN INT’L BUSINESS FORUM
A STUDENT from Tarlac State University was named as one of the three best panelists in the Virtual Social Business Students’ Forum 2020 (VSBSF 2020) organized by the Daffodil International University of Bangladesh.
Jahnella Zulueta of the College of Arts and Social Sciences was recognized for her presentation on how to eradicate poverty by exploring and promoting a “social business concept.”
Themed “Role of Youth in Zeroing Poverty, Unemployment, and Net Carbon Emission,” the VSBSF 2020 was the first virtual forum on social business that tackled poverty, unemployment, and net carbon emissions.
The forum, attended by more than 200 young leaders from 23 countries and 36 universities, featured a panel discussion where panelists were selected based on submitted profiles and video messages of student-nominees during the registration.
Among the finalists were students from Russia, South Africa, Macau, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Ukraine, Indonesia and Bangladesh.
The TSU nominated four other students to join the forum — Dexter Ivan Fernandez, Jay Ford Ringor, Nicole Nicasio, and Kein Edriene Miranda.
