TARLAC STATE U RECEIVES TIMELY FINANCIAL HELP FROM LA PAZ LGU
THE Tarlac State University joined forces with the local government of La Paz to implement the campus expansion.
The partnership aims to transfer funds to implement the construction of the two-story building of the TSU La Paz extension campus.
TSU said funding for the six-classroom project is from a congressional insertion of P20 million courtesy of Sen. Sonny Angara.
Councilor Robert Mananquil represented La Paz town Mayor Venustiano Jordan during the signing ceremony.
Mananquil said Sen. Angara will allocate another P20 million in 2024 for another building.
He added the municipal council already approved the P3.5 million budget to build a 1,800-square-meter fence at the La Paz campus to ensure the safety of the students.
“This action from the LGU is in response to the request of Dr. Edwin T. Caoleng, College of Public Administration and Governance Dean and officer-in-charge of the La Paz Campus,” TSU said.
“He further requested the LGU to assign maintenance and security personnel to look after the cleanliness and overall welfare of the TSUians enrolled in the said extension campus,” it added.
