TARLAC STATE U LA PAZ TO HAVE NEW BUILDING
THE TARLAC State University and the local government of La Paz signed an agreement on the construction of an additional building in TSU La Paz campus.
La Paz town Mayor Venustiano Jordan and TSU President Dr. Arnold Velasco signed the 25-year agreement.
Councilor Robert Mananquil, Office of the Mayor consultant Fernando Flaminiano, and university vice presidents Dr. Agnes Macaraeg and Dr. Grace Rosete served as witnesses.
Under the agreement, TSU will implement the plan to add a building with six classrooms to accommodate more students.
Senator Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara provided funding for the building, whose construction is expected to be finished in 2024.
In his message, Velasco said that the partnership will bring more opportunities to the La Paz town residents.
“It’s really a very significant day for us to [have] this agreement because this will be of great help, particularly for the hope of the nation – the youth. Ang mga kabataan po ang makikinabang dito (partnership),” he said.
“Napakagandang pamana po (education) that we can give to our youth, assuring them that they will be finishing their desired degrees, which will be of great help for their future, not only for them but their families,” he added.
