The suspect, Angelito Erlano, ran away, but after backtracking the CCTVs in his path, his identity was obtained.

The bag believed to be owned by the victim was also recovered from the suspect.
Based on the information held by the PNP, Erlano was previously arrested and charged with robbery.
“He was arrested last April 7, 2022 for ganun din na klaseng krimen. So, I think as I am speaking report was already flashed siguro sa mga stations natin sa Cavite. Kung makita sana ay ituro na lang po because ‘yung kawawang estudyante po, ‘yung magulang ng estudyante ay they deserve all the justice,” PNP Chief PGen. Rodolfo Azurin. Jr. previously said prior to the arrest.
