SULU STATE COLLEGE RECEIVES PEACE AWARD
THE SULU State College received an award from the Office of the Presidential Assistant on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity for its efforts to foster peace.
SSC said that the award is in recognition of its work to bring peace to the Tausugs.
“As a peace partner in priming and moving closer to the collective vision of bringing a just and lasting peace to the Tausug and to the Filipinos and for the college’s contribution in moving forward the peace and development agenda of the administration,” the college said.
SSC President Dr. Charisma Ututalum received the award on behalf of the college at the Philippine International Convention center in Pasay City on Monday.
OPAPRU chief Secretary Carlito Galvez said that the SSC is one of the agencies that helped the office with its programs to help ex-combatants and the community.
“Once again, to all our peace partners and stakeholders, thank you for supporting and helping our agency, especially during the most difficult of times. We shall forever be grateful,” Galvez said.
