ST. JOHN Paul II Academy offers homeschool learning for its students who do not have access to the internet which has become necessary for the new normal in education.
“Homeschool learning addresses the needs of the students who may find the online program challenging and difficult in many aspects. Homeschooling ensures that students can have access to all possible learning tools outside the confine of the virtual classroom and environment while staying at home,” the SJP2A said.
Internet connection and gadgets are not basic requirements in homeschooling, which also fosters self-paced learning.
However, parents or tutors should assist the students on the school’s curriculum.
Also, seatworks and quizzes will be given to the parents for the students to answer at home. Periodical exams, on the other hand, shall have to be taken in school while following the health protocols.
SJP2A also offers online learning in which classes will be conducted virtually.
At the same time, the school can provide supplemental online programs to enrich the student’s talents and skills.
Under these programs, there will be computer, art, dance, and sing clubs where students can join for school year 2020-2021.
SJP2A will be using synchronous and asynchronous types of learning. Synchronous learning is distance education that involves real-time interaction, while asynchronous learning is not live but makes use of online channels.
