SOUTHWESTERN U GRAD TOPS PHYSICAL THERAPIST LICENSURE EXAM
A GRADUATE of the Southwestern University in Cebu topped the Physical Therapist Licensure Examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission this month.
Edzelle Mhay Benitez Naquila led the successful examinees with a score of 89.90%.
Shayne Fernandez Minasalbas of Iloilo Doctors’ College placed second with a rating of 89.75%, followed by Alessandra Loi Tolentino Silva of Wesleyan University Philippines Cabanatauan City with 89.20%.
The PRC said 708 out of 1,026 passed the examinations which were held in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Pampanga and Rosales.
The top performing school with 30 or more test takers was the Remedios T. Romualdez Medical Foundation, with a passing rate of 92.11% as 35 of its 38 examinees passed.
It was followed by the Velez College with a rating of 80.65%.
Meanwhile, the PRC announced that 128 out of 215 test takers passed the Occupational Therapist Licensure Examination.
The topnotcher was Nadine Frances Yap Reyes of the University of the Philippines Manila, who got a score of 85.40%.
Matthew Luis Lubos Berad and Khrushchev Creus Magcaling, both from UP Manila, placed second and third, respectively. Berad got a score of 85.20% while Magcaling had 84.40%.
The top performing schools with 10 or more test takers with at least 80% passing percentage in the OTLE were the Emilio Aguinaldo College Manila (100); University of Santo Tomas (82.61); and Velez College (81.82).
