SORSOGON State University was recognized by the Department of Science and Technology after placing first runner-up in the 2023 RDLead Conference & Year-end Assembly on Monday (December 4).

The award was given to the university in recognition of its efforts and exceptional participation in the RDLead Program, an initiative project of the DOST-National Research Council of the Philippines.

According to the university, the recognition highlights the commitment of the institution in solving real-life issues while establishing a major force in national research. The journey of the institution in the research field is spearheaded by RDLeader Dr. Shirley T. Palisoc.

“SorSU’s remarkable engagement index score demonstrates the university’s dedication to research excellence,” the school said.

SorSU hopes that this award will inspire other aspiring institutions that aim to excel in the research and development field.

“This achievement solidifies SorSU’s position as a prominent player in the national research landscape, paving the way for continued innovation and positive societal impact,” it added.
