THE SAN MATEO Municipal College vowed to go after individuals spreading false information against its president, Dr. Estrella J. Cinco.

In a post on SMMS’s Facebook page, it said that spreading lies against the president will be met with legal action.

This came after a fake recording wherein Cinco allegedly aired electioneering concerns was spread across social media.

“SMMC does not tolerate any illegal acquisition of pictures, audio and video recordings and use them against [Cinco],” SMMC said.

“Malicious imputations libelous publications… had been brought to the NBI-Cybercrime Division for appropriate legal actions,” it added.
