THE SAINT Louis University in Baguio City landed in the list of top innovative schools along with several Philippine higher education institutions.

SLU ranked 162nd out of 1,072 higher education institutions worldwide in the WURI 2024 Global Top 300 Innovative Universities.

The university was also ranked in the following categories: 2nd in Social Responsibility, 5th in Industrial Application, and 8th in Student Support and Engagement.

“Last year, SLU was ranked 29th in Fourth Industrial Revolution, 40th in Industrial Application, 43rd in Entrepreneurial Spirit; and Top 101-200 Global Innovative Universities,” the school said.

“SLU’s inclusion in the WURI 2024 is a collaborative effort of the different units and stakeholders of the University under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, CICM, PhD,” it added.

WURI assesses higher education institutions’ real contributions to industry and society, highlighting innovative education, research, and societal engagement.

Using 13 categories, it encompasses innovation targets and methods, offering a comprehensive measure of institutions’ creative contributions to societal advancement.

The ranking aims “to spotlight higher education institutions that excel in these innovative approaches, thereby inspiring advancements across the academic and societal landscape.”
