SLSU PROVIDES CLOTHING TO ‘ODETTE’ VICTIMS

/ 8 December 2022

THE SOUTHERN Leyte State University has provided clothes and face masks to children who are still reeling from the effects of Typhoon Odette.

The recipients came from Barangay Sogod Town in Southern Leyte. The community is among those who are feeling the effects of the typhoon which devastated the Visayas region last year.

The donation drive is a product of the partnership between SLSU and the Korea-Philippine Educational and Cultural Exchange Center.

The university also said that the outreach program is part of its social responsibility, public service and good governance goals.

It is also part of SLSU’s Sustainable Development Goals which aims to develop communities through sustainable means.

SLSU also inked a partnership agreement with the Department of Education for an action research conduct aiming “to produce functionally literate, useful and self-reliant teachers imbued with the values necessary to become effective researchers.”
