SOUTHERN Luzon State University President Dr. Doracie Zoleta-Nantes warned the public against individuals impersonating her and asking for donations.

Zoleta-Nantes issued the warning after being informed that a person claiming to be her has been asking people to donate money for a foundation.

Another claimed to have been authorized by the school official and asked potential donors to send money through GCash.

“Warning to my FB friends and family. Please be informed that somebody is soliciting money on my behalf. I am not soliciting money or any financial donation from anyone. Please do not entertain this solicitation,” the president said.

“Wala po akong GCash account. Please do not send any ONLINE money TRANSACTION. WALA PO AKONG SOLICITATION NA INAUTHORIZE O GINAGAWA NA PINADEDEPOSIT KO SA ANUMANG BANGKO. SALAMAT PO. Mag ingat po kayo sa mga scammers na ginagamit pangalan ko,” she added.

Other universities and heads also warned of the said scheme and advised the public to coordinate with the school for proper action with the authorities.
