SLSU PARTNERS LAUNCH EXHIBIT FOR LUCBAN ARTISTS
THE SOUTHERN Luzon State University in Quezon province partnered with the Lucban Artists Guild and Lucban Historical Society for an exhibit aimed to help preserve the culture of the province.
The exhibit features works of local artists and artifacts unearthed from Mt. Banahaw.
The exhibit at the Escuela Pia in SLSU Hermano Pule building will be opened to the public after the Pahiyas Festival celebration in May 15, 2021.
The university said the partnership was spearheaded by the SLSU “with Councilor Jojo Raneses of LAG and LHS to help preserve the material culture of Lucban, Quezon.”
It said that the exhibit will provide another venue for students of SLSU and the community to learn about the history of the municipality.
A formal memorandum of understanding has yet to be signed by parties involved.
