SLSU: DONATED LAND NOT FOR BUSINESS VENTURE

/ 11 April 2023

THE SOUTHERN Luzon State University debunked a post on Facebook that it will use two parcels of donated land for business purposes.

The claim was posted on a Facebook page named “Ulat sa Bayan”.

Two lots with a total area of 3,410 square meters were given to SLSU by the heirs of Pilar Sario in Brgy. Kulapi, Lucban, Quezon.

The university said that the lots will be used for the benefit of its constituents.

“To be clear, SLSU contacted the land donor’s heirs to speed up titling of and establish the University’s legal rights to those lots,” the university said.

“SLSU is accepting donations, financial assistance, and scholarship grants from other government agencies, philanthropists, generous individuals and families, business associations, and private entities through its Corporate Social Responsibility programs,” it added.
