THE SULTAN Kudarat State University denounced the killing of one of its staffers, who was found lifeless in a river in Barangay Biwang, Bagumbayan, on Wednesday (03 April 2024) morning.

According to reports, the victim, who was identified as Jonji Imperio, a staff member of the university, was found to have sustained gunshot wounds in the head and stab wounds in the neck.

Imperio’s motorcycle and cell phone are also missing from the scene, which is believed to have been stolen.

“[SKSU] strongly condemns the senseless violence committed against Mr. Jonji D. Imperio,” the university said in a statement.

“The entire SKSU community joins together in heartfelt prayers for the repose of his soul, for the pursuit of justice, and for comfort and solace to be granted to his bereaved family,” it added.
