SILLIMAN U TECH-VOC CENTER PRODUCES 196 GRADUATES
A TOTAL of 196 students finished Technical Education and Skills Development Authority registered courses at the Silliman University-Technical Educational Vocational Entrepreneurial Center.
SU TEVEC held its 7th Graduation Exercises for Ticao Project Technical and Vocational Education and Training Programs in Monreal, Masbate last month.
The ceremony was themed “MaGaling sa Makabagong TVET para sa Bagong Pilipinas: TVET as Pathway to Recovery and Social-Economic Transformation.”
The graduates came from the four short courses offered since the pandemic began in 2019 until 2023, including Carpentry NC II, Agricultural Crops Production NC III, Animal Production (Poultry-Chicken) NC II, and Animal Production (Swine) NC II.
SU Ticao Island is a recognized institution accredited by the TESDA and the Commission on Higher Education.
“It specializes in providing TVET, contributing to the development of skilled professionals in line with TESDA and CHED standards,” the school said.
“The recently held event serves as SU’s compliance with the partner institution, TESDA in Masbate, on training, assessment, and graduation,” it added.
Dr. Betty Cernol McCann, SU President, co-signed Training Certificates for all Ticao Project TVET Program graduates.
Monreal Mayor Glenda Villahermoso commended SU and TESDA for offering free training to their constituents.
