SILLIMAN U POSTPONES F2F CLASSES FOR CHINESE STUDENTS

/ 11 January 2023

THE SILLIMAN University has postponed the conduct of face-to-face classes for students who came from China.

“SU postponed the in-person study of students from China due to the recent spike in Covid19 cases in the People’s Republic of China,” the school said.

“The University awaits the Department of Health’s response to address the situation. Students in China may attend classes at SU virtually,” it added.

DoH officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire earlier said there was no need to impose more restrictions on travelers coming from China.

The health department directed its units to maintain heightened surveillance, particularly on travelers arriving from China amid the spike in Covid19 infections in the East Asian country.
