THE SOUTHERN Luzon State University said that Senator Loren Legarda has agreed to provide funding for its student scholarship program.

The senator’s office will give P1.3 million to help SLSU students with their studies.

The university said the program will prioritize students who are not currently receiving scholarship.

Students enrolled for the first semesters of Academic Years 2022-2023 and 2023- 2024 will be the main beneficiaries of the program.

Representatives from SLSU met with the Senate officials on February 2, 2023.

They have yet to release the guidelines of the program which will be under the “Tulong Dunong Program” of the Commission on Higher Education.
