SAN PEDRO COLLEGE CALLS OUT MEDIA FOR ‘SENSATIONALISM’
THE SAN Pedro College in Davao called out local media for allegedly sensationalizing an issue raised by a parent about school fees.
SPC on Monday said that the media did not get the college’s side first before publishing a story about the issue.
The college clarified that it is open to dialogues with parties concerned as mandated by the Commission on Higher Education.
“The college wonders why this issue is sensationalized when it has always been open to dialogue with parents, guardians, and students on matters related to school fees,” SPC said in a statement.
“The college reserves its right to grant interviews. In pursuit of truth and fairness, requests from interested parties who are conscientious and impartial may be granted and in a forum, it deems right and proper,” it added.
Meanwhile, Imbestigador Southern Mindanao denied the accusations and said that they tried to get an interview with SPC but to no avail.
