TO PROMOTE awareness and appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of Indigenous People, the San Lorenzo Integrated School in Ilagan celebrated National Indigenous People Month.

The event held on October 5 also aimed to foster respect, tolerance, and inclusivity.

Learners from Kindergarten to Grade 12 donned their chosen indigenous attire.

“It fostered a sense of unity among students, faculty, and the wider community, encouraging everyone to recognize the value of Indigenous cultures and the importance of preserving them for future generations,” the school said.

Principal III Helen Magudang recognized the hard work of the teachers to make the event possible, adding that such initiatives help shape learners into well-rounded individuals.
