SAMAL Island City College President Jose Ersante Fuertes and Vice President Carlos Manlapus have completed the Commission on Higher Education-Asian Institute of Management Global Academic Leadership Program.

The graduation ceremony took place on Wednesday (November 29, 2023) at the Asian Institute of Management in Makati City.

The CHED-AIM GALP empowers the leaders of higher education institutions with such skills, preparing to meet the needs of the 21st-century education setting.

The SICC community extended their congratulations to the two officials.

“This esteemed event honors the painstaking journey of academic leaders to becoming equipped with essential transformative leadership and management skills to co-create innovative solutions and collaborative governance,” SICC said in a post.

It further said that the learnings acquired by Fuertes and Manlapus from AIM are a great tool in pursuing SICC’s commitment and direction toward academic excellence and transformative leadership.

SICC also expressed gratitude to the local government unit of Samal for their continuous support of the school.
