ROMBLON STATE UNIVERSITY ISSUES TYPHOON REMINDER
THE ROMBLON State University urged its students, faculty and staff to be vigilant as the weather bureau monitored a tropical depression in Luzon.
The university issued an advisory a week after Super Typhoon Rolly pounded the province of Romblon and other southern regions.
The RSU called on its community members to monitor the news when there’s a typhoon and to immediately evacuate when needed. They were also advised to prepare all items needed for survival, ensure their pets or livestock’ safety, and to check the integrity of their houses.
“After Typhoon Rolly hit the Province of Romblon last week the state weather bureau, PAGASA is monitoring another weather system that might sweep across Bicol and Southern Luzon areas,” RSU said on Facebook.
The tropical depression named ‘Ulysses’ is expected to make landfall in Bicol on Wednesday.
It was forecast to transform into a tropical storm before hitting land.
