ROMBLON STATE U STUDENTS, TEACHERS RECEIVE LAPTOPS
STUDENTS and teachers of Romblon State University received laptops from the Commission on Higher Education as part of the latter’s smart campus program for Romblon province.
A total of 1,400 laptops with Intel Core i3 and Core i7 specifications have been delivered to the university — 1,100 for the students and 300 for teachers.
The commission allotted P750 million for the program.
Another batch of deliveries is expected by the university as it aims to give all of its students useable devices.
Free WiFi, a proper learning management system and dedicated software will also be established in RSU under the program.
“Ito ay pangarap ng lahat dahil sa ngayon ang trend ay ‘Digitization’. ‘Pag sinabi nating ganito, lahat ng operation dapat ay digitized, paperless dapat tayo. Pero ang hirap-hirap para sa isang Level 2 [University],” RSU President Merian P. Catajay-Mani said in a report by the Romblon News Network.
“This means, every student should have a laptop, every faculty should have a laptop,” she added.
