/ 18 May 2022

THE ROMBLON State University distributed livelihood packages to deserving beneficiaries, its president, Dr. Merian Catajay-Mani, said.

The project was implemented in cooperation with the school’s National Service Training Program and Civic Welfare Training Service.

The RSU awarded five mini sari-sari stores, five hogs for backyard raising and one oven with baking goods to the 11 recipients.

Catajay-Mani, NSTP Director Edgar Andalecio, CWTS organizer Alphee Lachica and barangay captains witnessed the awarding of the livelihood packages at the university quadrangle.

Melchor Rufon, a CWTS trainer and faculty member at RSU, supervised, trained and inspired some students to sponsor the event.

The goal of the activity was to promote youth involvement in community development projects.
