PUP TOURISM STUDENTS RANKED 18TH IN EU WHIZ 2021

A TEAM of students of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines won in the trivia competition hosted by the European Union.

The group composed of Adrian Hermie Curativo, team captain; John Gil Concepcion; and Aaron Paul Fuellas ranked 18th out of 176 teams that joined the EU Whiz 2021: Filipino Youth of the FEUture.

They were coached by Professor Yolanda Montances and Ej Pernia from the Department of Tourism.

The European Delegation to the Philippines hosted the annual Europe Day Online Trivia Competition held from May to June.

This year, the competition was held online and had the most participants from various colleges and universities across the country.

“The EU and the Philippines have enjoyed a strong and mutually beneficial partnership for many years now,”  EU Ambassador to the Philippines Luc Veron said.

“The EU Whiz is a fun and exciting way for a new generation of Filipino youth to rediscover the ties and common history that bind our people together. It also introduces them to the EU, its institutions and our partnership with the Philippines,” he added.
