/ 21 September 2024

THE Polytechnic University of the Philippines has partnered with the National Council for Children’s Television in support of children’s media research.

A memorandum of agreement was signed between officials of PUP and NCCT last month.

The partnership aims to enhance research initiatives to create a positive impact on children’s media in the country.

PUP President Dr. Manuel M. Muhi emphasized the importance of research in shaping policies that protect and empower children through media.

Representatives from both institutions, including Dr. Anna Ruby P. Gapasin from PUP and NCCT’s Executive Director Desideria Mance Atienza, reaffirmed their commitment to the partnership.

The ceremony also previewed the upcoming 1st NCCT National Research Forum on Children’s Media, set for November 16, 2024, at PUP, which will gather scholars and media practitioners to discuss the media’s impact on children.

The event concluded with a fellowship luncheon, promoting further collaboration between PUP and NCCT.
