PUP STUDENTS WORRIED ABOUT RESUMPTION OF F2F CLASSES
SOME students from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines are worried that they may not be able to attend full face-to-face classes in the second semester of Academic Year 2022-2023 for financial reasons.
A poll conducted by the PUP College of Communication Student Council showed that 330 students said that they are financially incapable to return to physical classes.
Only 151 students said that they are ready, 318 were worried because of their work situation, and 1,439 said they are not ready given the lack of guidelines from the university.
PUP announced last year that full in-person classes will resume in the second semester. However, it has yet to release guidelines.
The council submitted the results of their survey to the university administration to help with their “policy-making.”
“The PUP COC SC continuously asserts the rights of every student to be included in policymaking by considering this data in crafting guidelines for the in-person resumption of classes in the forthcoming semesters,” the council said.
