PUP STUDENTS, TEACHERS TO RECEIVE TABLETS, INTERNET ALLOWANCE FROM DELLOITE PH
AS PART of its mission to advance quality education, Deloitte Philippines will donate tablets and internet allowance for students and faculty members of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
PUP President Dr. Manuel Muhi and Deloitte Managing Partner & CEO Fredieric Landicho signed a memorandum of agreement to formalize the partnership.
Senen Quizon, Deloitte Philippines Tax and Corporate Services Principal, said the donation is part of the company’s initiative to advance education and prepare people for the jobs of the future.
“Around the world, Deloitte professionals are organizing and working on CSR projects and initiatives to help underserved groups and communities gain the skills they need or get access to opportunities that will help them better compete during the Fourth Industrial Revolution. These efforts are part of the Deloitte network’s world-class ambition to impact 50 million lives by 2030,” Quizon said.
Under the MOA, Deloitte will provide 100 tablets for students to use during the period of remote learning. These tablets will be surrendered to PUP for use in computer classrooms after the pandemic.
Deloitte also pledged to provide a monthly stipend of P1,000 for 50 faculty members, whether full-time or part-time.
