PUP STUDENTS SHINE IN NATIONAL LEADERS’ CONVENTION

STUDENTS from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines emerged as top performers at the 1st Outstanding Student Leaders’ Convention and 5th Student Affairs and Services International Convention held recently in Baguio City.

PUP SKM president Tiffany Faith F. Brillante represented the university with distinction, securing a spot among the Top 20 finalists of the Outstanding Student Leaders Program.

PUP students also excelled in individual competitions:
• Lara Denise A. Tinos won first place in the Traditional Poster-Making Contest.
• Ross Hashanah D. Rodolfo clinched the top award in the Singing Competition.

A PUP group composed of Edda Shane E. Mercado, Jhay Mark A. Ortiz Luis, Keiyon Lurk B. Quiambao, Rafael Joshua L. Abbot, and Juliana Mhae C. Tiotangco placed second in the Group Dance Competition.

“This proved once again that Sintang Paaralan remains a home to progressive spaces for every Iskolar ng Bayan as it corresponds to that of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals—Quality Education (SDG 4),” PUP said.

“The University continuously upholds its commitment to delivering excellence as it brings honor and pride even on the national stage,” it added.

The three-day convention gathered more than 200 delegates and highlighted student affairs, meaningful leadership, and youth engagement.
