PUP STUDENT IS YEAR’S NATATANGING LIDER-KABATAAAN NG QUEZON RECIPIENT
A MANAGEMENT accounting student of Polytechnic University of the Philippines received the ‘Natatanging Lider-Kabataan ng Quezon 2023’ from Sinag Quezon Inc.
Mika Ella Marasigan was among the 22 individuals bestowed with the prestigious award.
Her accomplishment is part of the larger project “Tanglaw: Legasiya ni Quezon sa Pagsibol ng Inklusibong Lalawigan,” an initiative that seeks to pay homage to former President Manuel L. Quezon’s legacy by nurturing an inclusive and progressive Quezon Province.
The project acknowledges and highlights the accomplishments of young leaders from the province.
“Marasigan represented her hometown, Guinayangan, Quezon (District 4), throughout her journey. This connection to her local community has been instrumental in shaping her leadership approach, ensuring that her efforts resonate with the needs and aspirations of the people she serves,” PUP said.
“Her involvement with PUP Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants Manila, an academic student organization from PUP CAF, as Vice President for Information and Publicity Federation Year 2022-2023 amplifies the reach of her influence. Her participation in this capacity showcases her ability to bridge the gap between her academic pursuits and her commitment to community service,” it added.
Professor Mark Anecito Perlas served as Marasigan’s mentor during the application process.
Sinag Quezon is a duly registered youth organization that connects and empowers an efficient and inclusive youth sector. It aims to deliver constant service for the province to the best of its members’ abilities through advocating for the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
