THE Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Sto. Tomas, Batangas will soon have a new multipurpose academic building.

President Engr. Manuel Muhi led the groundbreaking ceremony attended by Batangas third district Rep. Ma. Theresa “Maitet” Collantes, Sto. Tomas Vice Mayor Cathy Jaurigue-Perez, and Department of Public Works and Highways-Calabarzon Regional Director Jovel Mendoza.

The project was an initiative of Rep. Ralph Recto.

“Nararapat lamang na bigyan natin ng magandang pasilidad ang isa sa mga Top Performing na unibersidad sa buong Pilipinas. At nawa’y mas marami pang produktibo at mahusay na mag aaral ang magiging produkto ng PUP,” Recto said in a post.

Collantes said the new building will provide students a facility conducive to learning.

“[M]akaka-asa naman po ang mga mag-aaral ng PUP Sto. Tomas sa patuloy na pagbibigay natin ng oportunidad at suporta sa pamamagitan ng pagsusulong ng mga kinakailangang programa at batas na mag-aangat pa sa kalidad ng edukasyon para sa mag-aaral na Pilipino,” she added.
