THE POLYTECHNIC University of the Philippines remains in full compliance with the enhanced Freedom of Information requirements, the Presidential Commissions Operations Office said.

Citing section 5.7 b of Memorandum Circular No. 2020-1 issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force, it said PUP accomplished the required updated University FOI manual and related reports.

“In support of integrity and transparency of public service, the FOI manual and reports can be accessed on the university’s transparency seal page,” PUP said.

“PUP continues to show its support for this initiative by upgrading several systems, services, and programs related to strengthening freedom of information within the university,” it said.

Last year, the university received the FOI Award under the State Universities and Colleges Category for its commendable contribution to the FOI program by launching the Online Student Support Services Action Center.

Under Executive Order No. 2, series of 2016, the FOI program allows Filipino citizens to request any information about government transactions and operations, provided that it shall not put into jeopardy matters of national security.
