PUP-QC GETS P19-M GRANT FROM CONGRESS

/ 1 February 2024

THE POLYTECHNIC University of the Philippines Quezon City Campus has received P19 million in funding from the House of Representatives for its infrastructure development and other projects.

The grant funding will be utilized to construct and rehabilitate the PUP-QC multi-purpose building.

The building is anticipated to serve as a hub for diverse activities, accommodating events, meetings, and other essential functions.

QC Second District Rep. Wendel Tulfo facilitated the grant, according to the university.

The university added that this highlighted the legislative department’s commitment “to the improvement and development of educational facilities within the city.”

Construction and rehabilitation efforts began last December under the University Property and Quality Control office.

“This grant is aligned with the campus’ thrust to construct facilities designed to meet the evolving needs of its students, faculty, and staff. We’re grateful to our Congressional representative for helping this become a reality,” Prof. Jaime Gutierrez, campus director, said.
