DR. Elvira Labartine was accorded the Award of Excellence in Education and Innovation under the senior level during the recently concluded Education Congress 2022.

Labartine was recognized for her significant contributions and accomplishments in the field of Food Science and Educational management.

During the congress, Labartine, a College of Science faculty member at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, presented her research titled ‘Correlation between customer satisfaction in the catering industry with its relationship management’.

Her study revealed that businesses should have an adaptable understanding of what customers expect and utilize resources to meet customers’ expectations.

With a theme ‘Advancing Research, Education, and Innovation at the Dawn of the New Normal’, the two-day congress aimed at offering a multi-disciplinary platform, providing a venue for collaboration, and providing opportunities for the participants.

It was organized by the Association of Higher Education Multidisciplinary Research, Inc., and the United Federation of Fil-American Educators, Inc.

Labartine earned a master’s degree in food science from the University of the Philippines in 1999 and a doctorate in business administration from PUP.

Her areas of expertise at PUP include research, cooking, and baking.
