PUP PARTNERS WITH 2 ORGANIZATIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS
THE Polytechnic University of the Philippines collaborated with two organizations for scholarships and support for financially challenged accountancy and finance students.
“Partners are actively supporting PUPians given the results of the recent Jobstreet survey. They are eager to work with students who are well-liked by employees. Our partners are also looking forward to hiring PUPians especially their current roster of scholars,” PUP quoted Director Ana Liza Publico of the Office of Scholarship and Financial Assistance as saying.
“This is a wonderful development for us, and we hope to continue attracting other benefactors to help more of our students,” she added.
In July, the university signed an agreement with the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice Foundation, Inc.
Jose Ireneo is also part of ACPAPP Foundation and specifically sponsored a student-with-disability as part of his personal advocacy, the university said.
Meanwhile, PUP also signed an agreement with the Employees of Financial Supervision Department V of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas earlier this month.
“These scholarships are variations of paying it forward because several ACPAPP Foundation and EFSDV members are alumni of the University’s Accountancy and Finance programs,” PUP said.
