THE Open University of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines admitted 122 persons with disabilities to empower them through education.

PUP said that the PWDs are enrolled under the Innovative Open and Distance Education program.

“For these PWD students, PUP is not just an educational institution; it’s a sanctuary of possibilities. With tailored support systems in place, the university ensures that every individual can thrive academically and emerge as a formidable force in society,” the school said.

“From accessible classrooms to specialized resources, PUP leaves no stone unturned in its mission to level the playing field,” it added.

The university said that it inspires inclusivity in education “by championing the rights of PWDs, emphasizing equal opportunities for all.”

“As PUP continues its mission to create a more inclusive educational landscape, it beckons others to do the same. With PUP leading the way, a brighter, more inclusive future for all learners is not just a dream – it’s a promise,” it said.
