AN official of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines was appointed as member of the board of directors of the People’s Television Network, Inc.

Dr. Sanjay Claudio, director of PUP Quality Assurance Center, assumed his new post on October 5, 2023. He will be serving a term of four years, without reappointment.

Claudio will serve as representative of the educational sector of the state-run broadcast channel.

Under Republic Act 7306, PTV’s charter requires one representative from the educational sector to sit on its Board.

Claudio will sit alongside two representatives each from the government and private sectors, deciding on matters of policy affecting the business of the network.

The PUP official previously served as dean of the College of Political Science and Public Administration before the director of the PUP QAC.
