PUP HOLDS DONATION DRIVE FOR ‘ODETTE’ VICTIMS
THE POLYTECHNIC University of the Philippines held a donation drive for the victims of Typhoon Odette.
PUP said that its Community Relations and Outreach Services will facilitate the pooling of donations for those who were affected by the typhoon.
It said that it will accept ready-to-eat food, flashlights, hygiene kits, and slippers, among others.
Mosquito nets, mats, and batteries are also welcome.
Donors can drop off items in its main campus in Sta. Mesa Manila or coordinate with Gary Musa at 09161012148.
“[The university] would like to call on the PUP community to give whatever support we can for our Kababayans who have been severely affected by Typhoon Odette and are in urgent need,” PUP said on its Facebook page.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported that 407 people died when the typhoon battered Visayas and Mindanao last December.
