THE POLYTECHNIC  University of the Philippines has yet to decide whether to hold physical graduation rites or not, its student body said.

The Sentral na Konseho ng Mag-aaral said that no final decision has been made regarding the conduct of graduation ceremonies.

It issued the clarification following reports that the graduation ceremony for batch 2022 will be online.

“As of the moment, no final and official decision has been made yet by the PUP Administration regarding the [matter],” the SKM said in a statement on Facebook.

“We recognize that the 2022 PUP graduating class is strongly pushing for physical commencement rites… the council firmly stands with the students’ call,” it added.

The group expressed optimism that a face-to-face setup will proceed as this is has been pushed since 2021.
