POLYTECHNIC University of the Philippines has won first place in the online polling of the ‘Isang Bituin, Isang Mithiin: A National Parol Making Competition’.

This was after the university’s parol entry named as ‘Puno ng Pangarap’ gained over 156,000 heart reactions which are counted as votes from the netizens.

Meanwhile, PUP Students’ Integrated League of Interior Design, a group of interior design students, expressed their gratitude for the support of the people for PUPians.

“Our fellow Interior Design students and constituents behind this project poured their creativity, effort, and unified dreams to create the “Puno ng Pangarap” parol,” they said.

The group also stressed that this is only the start of the competition and they are requesting for the tremendous support of the whole community throughout the parol making competition.

“Sa muli, maraming salamat sa inyong walang-hanggang suporta! Mula sayo, para sa bayan!” they added.

The winner of the online polling will receive a P100,000 cash prize and will have a guaranteed 10-point advantage during the parol judging.
