PUP BAGS PCOO FREEDOM OF INFORMATION AWARD

THE POLYTECHNIC University of the Philippines was recognized for its online platform which helps students avail of the university’s essential services amid the pandemic.

The university received the 2020 Freedom of Information Award under the State Universities and Colleges category on November 25.

The Presidential Communications Operations Office recognized the school’s Online Student Support Services Action Center platform.

It lauded the school for its “exceptional and significant contribution to the Freedom of Information Program’s progress and development.”

Launched this year, the OSSSAC addresses student needs by providing frontline services amid quarantine restrictions.

The platform responds to student queries regarding the conduct of online classes, manages and resolves grievances and provides other support services.
