/ 17 October 2022

THE PANGASINAN State University Bayambang Campus conducted a Capping, Pinning and Candle Lighting ceremony for its nursing students.

A total of 93 nursing students attended the program.

During the program, University President Dr. Dexter Buted reminded the students of their responsibility.

“I strongly encourage you, our dear students to continue pressing forward for the profession you intend to fulfill. Be bold, be courageous, and be your best as you take your future career path…Seize every learning opportunity that is given to you, you never know, it may be the bridge towards a successful future,” Buted said.

The university president also praised PSU’s aspiring nurses for answering the call to serve mankind boldly, noting that the World Health Organization estimates that just six million additional nurses are needed globally.

“This only means that the world needs more heroes,” he said.

“My dear future nurses, your PSU family would love to see you write your own life story. We have sufficiently equipped you with tools and life hacks that you will need as you advance to the reality of this world of nursing profession,” Buted said.
