A DEAN from the Centro Escolar University was named one of the Outstanding Professionals in 2020 by the Professional Regulation Commission.

Borromeo was lauded for her active involvement in community outreach programs and for sharing her expertise in various optometry conferences.

“Borromeo has written articles on ophthalmic lenses, contact lenses, and eye care, and co-authored the ‘Contact Lense Training Manual’ published in South Korea,” the CEU said.

“She also serves as consultant for Johnson and Johnson Vision Care, and Younger Optics in Australia and a trainer for optometrists in the country and abroad,” it added.

Borromeo was also an awardee of the Philippine Federation of Professional Associations, Educator of the Year, Educational Leadership Awardee by the World Education Congress, Fellow International Service Awardee, Civitan Research Awardee, and Civitan Ambassador of Goodwill.

“Borromeo’s efforts as dean of the CEU-School of Optometry led to strong ties and collaborations with numerous industry partners on internship programs and modernization of optometry clinic facilities,” CEU said.
