QUEZON City Police District Director Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III ordered an in-depth investigation into the alleged rape of a student inside the University of the Philippines campus in Quezon City.

PLCol. Reynaldo Vitto, station commander of Anonas Police Station, said the victim, a 5th year Applied Physics student, was raped by an unidentified man armed with a bladed weapon.

The victim initially sought the assistance of UP Diliman Police Campus and was brought to the Crime Laboratory at Camp Crame.

The UPDP was advised to turn over the case to PS 9.

Police investigators led by Torre inspected the crime scene. The police have yet to
check CCTV footages in the area.
