POLICE CLEARS CVSU FROM BOMB THREAT

/ 29 February 2024

THE Cavite State University was declared safe and clear after the school received bomb threats on Wednesday.

CvSU said the university was cleared by the police as no explosives were found in its main campus.

“The responding authorities from the Philippine National Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Group confirmed that there are NO EXPLOSIVES OR HAZARDOUS COMPONENTS FOUND within the premises of Cavite State University – Main Campus following a reported bomb threat earlier today,” the university said in a statement.

“Rest assured that the University Civil Security Services will continuously ensure the safety of the CvSU community amid these threats. We also call on our students, employees, and the general public to remain vigilant and refrain from sharing false information which can cause unnecessary panic,” it added.

CvSU is one of the schools that received bomb threats, as campuses in Bataan and Central Luzon also dealt with bomb threats these last few weeks.

Making bomb threats are punishable by law as several schools are also searching for the culprit behind the threats to deal with in proper forums.
