THE PHILIPPINE Normal University thanked Sen. Joel Villanueva for the additional budget he provided for the university and other State Universities and Colleges.

Villanueva, chairman of the Senate Committee on Higher Education, Technical and Vocational Education, inserted an additional P1 million for the PNU’s budget.

Of this, P500,000 will be used for ICT connection and other equipment, while the other half will be used for the conduct of activities for sports and culture development.

“The PNU Community thanks Senator Joel J. Villanueva for his support. Truly, you are an advocate of quality education and teacher education in the country. Mabuhay!” PNU said on Facebook.

Villanueva said that an additional P3 billion will also be distributed to SUCs to help them become smart campuses.
